Who We Are

Inspiring Potential Services Inc. is a community-based organization rooted in understanding, respect, and thoughtful support. Based in Tyne Valley and serving Prince County, IPS works with individuals and families who benefit from individualized, person-centred supports.

We believe people thrive when they feel safe, understood, and respected — and that meaningful support begins with taking the time to truly understand the individual.

Our Approach

We begin by seeing each individual as a whole person, not a diagnosis or a set of challenges. We recognize that meaningful support must be individualized and responsive, shaped around each person’s strengths, needs, and ways of communicating.

Individuals with behavioural differences, sensory needs, communication challenges, or physical support needs are often overlooked or excluded from traditional programs. At Inspiring Potential Services, we intentionally work with people who may not easily fit existing models, creating supports that are flexible, respectful, and centred on real life.

Supports are adjusted as we learn more about the individual. There is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Our Guiding Principles

Our work is guided by a few core principles:

  • Behaviour is communication

  • Sensory needs impact regulation and learning

  • Communication is not limited to speech

  • Trust and relationship come first

  • Progress is personal and not rushed

These principles guide how we design supports, respond to challenges, and partner with families and caregivers.

Our Team

Our team is intentionally small and relationship-focused, allowing us to provide consistent, attentive support.

Team members bring extensive personal and professional experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, including — but not limited to — autism across all levels, intellectual and developmental disabilities, complex communication needs, sensory processing differences, behavioural challenges, and physical support needs.

Families can feel confident knowing that our team has experience with:

  • Personal care supports

  • Physical assistance and mobility support

  • Daily living and safety support

  • Medication administration as required

Support is provided with care, discretion, and respect for dignity, always guided by clear protocols and close collaboration with families.

Across the team, there is ongoing training and learning in behavioural understanding, sensory-informed support, and alternative and accessible communication, along with a strong commitment to ethical practice, reflection, and partnership with caregivers.

A Thoughtful, Growing Organization

Inspiring Potential Services is committed to growing at a pace that protects quality, safety, and integrity. Rather than expanding quickly, we prioritize thoughtful planning, ongoing learning, and strong relationships with the individuals and families we support.

Our Commitment

Our approach values dignity, presumes competence, and is grounded in understanding that supports growth over time.
